Casino Betting Strategies – The Roulette Ball Has No Memory

Most gamblers try to develop various strategies when playing online casino games or at live casinos. Such strategies can seem to be very effective short-term; players win their bets back with a nice profit, and on a good day the chosen strategy can create an incredible winning run. This is all fine as long as casino strategies are used with a sensible money management and with the knowledge of what this article is all about. Problems arise when the player starts feeling confident that his or her strategy always will work in any given setting.

So what exactly is a casino betting strategy? Known betting strategies go back as far as the 18th century, with the Martingale system being one of the most famous ones. The Martingale system simply suggests that the player should double his or her bet after a loss in an even money game such as roulette. If the player had an unlimited bankroll and there were no other limiting conditions, this casino betting strategy would in theory work. However, there is no such thing as an unlimited bankroll, and even if there was, there are other limitations set by the casino itself to prevent this. The most obvious limitation would of course be that all casino tables have a maximum bet size rule. Despite this fact, players constantly develop new and more complex strategies in hope to gain an advantage over the casino. These strategies may involve anything from number sequencing to progressive and negative betting. However, all of these strategies or systems are bound to fail.

The reason for this is the misconception of many players that a particular event in the casino game must occur sooner or later. For example, if a player keeps betting on black in a roulette game, and red wins many times in a row, surely black will turn up sooner or later? By applying a betting strategy that covers the losses up until that point, the player can walk away with profit. This is known as the “gamblers fallacy” which means that the player believes that a likely event that has not happened recently becomes “overdue” and is more likely to occur. However, the roulette ball has no memory! Each time it spins the odds are exactly the same for it to land on black, red or a particular number.

In regards to casino betting, one could make a comparison with playing on the lotto. Many people like to play the very same numbers in every single draw, like birthday numbers for example. Players often do this with the belief that this number sequence is more likely to turn up since it has lost so many times in a row before. As in the case of the roulette ball – lotto balls have no memory either. The chances for a particular number to appear is always the same in every draw.

Having said all this, I do not wish to discourage betting with a casino strategy as long as its being done with a healthy money management. Walk away when you win and cut your losses when you lose. Mathematical models have in fact shown that flat betting performs better than progressive betting systems, but true, it could be a lot more fun to play with a gentle loss recoup strategy in any given casino game session. Just know the facts, have fun playing casino games, and know that there is no such thing as a holy grail.

Casino Roulette

Albert Einstein very rightly stated, “You cannot beat a roulette table unless you steal money from it.” The statement still holds true today. Blaise Pascal, a French scientist, made the first roulette wheel in 1655. It is believed he simply invented it because of his love and for perpetual-motion devices. The term roulette means “”small wheel” in French.

Roulette is a casino chance game. It is a fairly simple game and almost always gathers a large crowd around the table depending upon the stake. A few years ago, Ashley Revell sold all his possessions to get $245,300. He bet all of his money on a spin and returned home with twice the amount he had risked. However, in many cases these chances are not always profitable.

Many studies have been carried out to establish a winning formula for the game. The Martingale betting strategy involves doubling a bet with every loss. This is done in order to recover the entire amount on any subsequent win. The Fibonacci sequence has also been used to find success in the game. The famous “dopey experiment” requires a player to divide the entire stake into 35 units and play for a longer period of time.

The two types of roulette, which are used, are the American roulette and European roulette. The major distinction between the two roulette types is the admission of the number of 0’s on the wheel. American roulette wheels have two “0’s” on its wheel. American roulette uses “non-value” chips, meaning all chips belonging to one player are of the same value. The price is decided upon at the time of the purchase. The chips are cashed at the roulette table.

European roulette uses casino chips of varying values per bet. This is also known to be more confusing for the players and the croupier. A European roulette table is usually larger than an American roulette table. In 1891, Fred Gilbert wrote a song called “The Man Who Broke the Bank at Monte Carlo” about Joseph Jaggers. He is known to have studied the roulette tables at the Beaux-Arts Casino in Monte Carlo. Subsequently, he amassed large sums of money as a result of a continuous winning streak.

In this article I’d like to share with you the 5 biggest

gambling mistakes of most average gamblers.

Las Vegas thrives on people making these mistakes

and makes more money this way.

Since it’s time you started winning follow

these tips so you win more and lose less

Discover how to turn professional at the casino

using my time tested advice and tips that

have won me thousands of dollars, and have got

me banned.

“The 5 Biggest Mistakes That you should avoid!”

For years the casinos have been ripping off players

just like you for hundreds of years, to generate

insane profits in the billions every year! Within this

article I’d like to share with you the five most

common mistakes gamblers make that maximize

your odds of losing, that you may not even

know you do!

The 5 Biggest Gambling Mistakes:

Most gamblers visit a casino in hopes of winning some

money but ultimately you gamble for fun. Unfortunately

people wholely on pure luck to win nearly always lose.

If you want to win then make sure you follow these rules…

Mistake #1. Not setting a bank roll limit.

When you go and visit a casino only take a certain amount

of money with you for gambling purposes, and leave all your

plastic cards at home. When you spend your entire bank roll

move on and find something else to do, don’t bother getting

emotionally involved with the games you’re playing because

it’s the quickest way to spend much more money!

Mistake #2. Not knowing how to play.

When you choose a certain game to play at the casino, you

should know well in advance exactly how the game works and

how to play it scientifically so you win more money. Most

players hit games they don’t know, thus they lose more than

they can gamble.

Personally speaking, if you truly want to super charge your

results, then I highly recommend you uncover every tip and

strategy for maximizing your odds

Mistake #3. Impairing your judgment.

The casino loves to fill their guests and customers with

free booze of all types and kinds. Drinking impairs your

judgement and gets you emotionally involved within the game

thus losing feels worse, and most importantly you won’t be

able to play using scientifically proven strategies that

shrink the odds of the casino winning.

Whatever you do, don’t gamble if you are going to be drinking.

It just makes no sense and just drains your bank roll!

Mistake #4. Choosing the wrong games.

In order to win you’ve got to choose the games that pay out

the most money and that the casino has less power of making

the odds of the game in their favor. Not all games are

created equal, so find out which games pay out the best and

then start practicing, studying and playing those games in

real life or the net, until you master it!

Once you’ve mastered a game then and only then are you

truly ready to fork out cash to play at a real casino.

Mistake #5. Picking the wrong casino.

Like the games themselves casinos are not all created equal

some casinos may pay out much better than others, and it’s

your job to find the best paying casino. If you are

How to Play Casino Roulette

Casino Roulette is a very exciting and thrilling game that is played at casinos. It allows for players to win a large sum of money while only wagering a small amount. The largest payout is 35:1 so wagering a $10 bet could earn you up to $350, but like other casino games the house always has an advantage.

How to Play:

Roulette is a very easy game to play as players bet on a specific number and color. There are numbers 1-36 alternating black and red colors. There is also a green point labeled 0 and in American Roulette there is a second green point labeled 00. The green points are what create the house advantage. After placing your bets a little ball will roll around the wheel until it falls on one of those points.

Betting:

The betting of this game can be very exciting as players can make both inside and outside bets. An inside bet consists of betting the number of the pocket that the ball will land in or selecting a range of pockets. An outside bet occurs when players bet on groups of numbers, a specific color, or they may also bet on whether the number will be odd or even.

Types of inside bets include straight up, split, street, corner, six line, and trio. A straight up is just as it sounds as you bet on one single number and not on a group. This type of a bet would have the worst odds of hitting, but would also payout the most. A street bet is betting three numbers in a single horizontal line and you would place your chip at the edge of the end of the line to show the table that you would like to make this bet. Another type of bet is a corner and this consists of betting four numbers in the shape of a square.

Some types of outside bets include 1 to 18, 19 to 36, even or odd, red or black, and dozen bets. Even or odd bets are just as they sound and you would place a bet on either an even or an odd number. A dozen bet consists of a player betting on the first, second, or third groupings of numbers.

Odds:

As I said above the worst odds are made by betting a straight up or by betting on a single number. A street bet which consists of betting on 3 numbers has 24 to 1 odds and betting on a corner gives you 8 to 1 odds. The best odds you will find are by betting on all the even or odd, black or red, and so on combinations which payout a 1 to 1 amount. These bets occur most frequently, but can also cause you to lose a large amount if you bet to high.

Like all casino games the house will always have an edge, but making smart bets and not betting to high will help you become profitable in no time.
